Getting started with CentOS 8 and Download Link

Finally ! The wait is over for those who want to use the opensource Linux kernel in complete opensource manner, without any hassel of any license renewal or support – CentOS 8 is there with stable, predictable, manageable and reproducible platform derived from the sources of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.


Installation media is easily available from following link without any need for any registration http://isoredirect.centos.org/centos/8/isos/x86_64/CentOS-8-x86_64-1905-dvd1.iso

Note:
  • At least 2 GB RAM are required to install and use CentOS-8 (1905). At least 4 GB RAM is recommended.
  • If you are planning to install CentOS-8 in a VirtualBox guest, you should not select “Server with a GUI” (default) during the installation
Installation is same as other Redhat/CentOS versions, still for newbies, sharing an installation video below. Learn, test and enjoy
